Race Information

Time: Start time 7:30 A.M.

Course Cautions:
1. The course is open to vehicular traffic on the roads. There will be plenty of room for both runners and vehicles, but there won’t be much traffic at the time of the race.
2. A small portion of the course is on sidewalks along Yaupon and Oyster Creek Drive. Please watch for raised slabs or uneven footing. Be courteous when passing others or when being passed.
Weather:
Rain or shine, the race is on. In the event of lightning, we will delay the race start and wait for the weather to pass.
Course Measurement:
The course is USATF Certified – Course Number TX96055ETM. Certification description and map located here.
Time Limit:
The race starts at 7:30 AM and closes at 9:00 AM.
Shirts, Awards, Post Race:
1. Each participant and volunteer will receive a race shirt.
2. Overall and Age group awards! Overall and Masters, Top 3 in age group awards for 14 & Under, 15-19, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s plus.
3. Door Prizes!!! Stick around after the race and during the awards ceremony we will give away door prizes. Prizes will be listed as they are donated.
4. Post Race Food, Drinks, and Music!
Aid Stations:
There will be water and electrolyte drinks available at both the 1 mile, just past the 2 mile, and at the 3 mile points on the course. Toilets are located at the start of the race near the pavilion.
Pre-race Announcements and National Anthem:
Race announcements and instructions will start at 7:20, just outside the pavilion.
